HTQM establishes private communications between buyers and sellers seeking heat treating in order to create an efficient marketplace environment where members can locate the services they need with a greatly reduced investment in time and effort. HTQM is a subsidiary of Heat Treat Quotemaster, LLC. This policy statement represents the privacy policy of Heat Treat Quotemaster, LLC.

1. What information does HTQM collect?
When you register to become a member of HTQM, you fill out a registration form that includes name, company, location, address, phone, e-mail address, billing address, and the business activities in which your company is engaged. All registration information is collected by HTQM. When you log on to HTQM, HTQM will collect information about your activities on the site, as well as information you enter into the site pertaining to the posting of Request for Quotes (RFQ's) and Quote Responses.

2. How is the information used?
The information is used to implement the functions of HTQM's on-line quoting system. Storing RFQ's and Quote Responses in a database allows members of HTQM to post and review RFQ's and Quote Responses as well as access and view their own active or archived documents, see the status of individual line items, as well as view earlier documents. Viewing these database-driven screens will let members review the status of all RFQs in one place and see quotes responses to RFQ's the buyer sent to multiple (buyer-selected) Heat Treaters. A vendor can see only those RFQ's that were directed to them from the buyer. The buyer can only see Quote Responses that were submitted to him by a specific vendor. Aggregated statistical information about activity on HTQM may be used by HTQM, or by the sponsoring association for the purpose of improving the associations respective industry through better sales and marketing programs.

3. With whom may the information be shared?
Buyers cannot see information in the system relating to other individual buyers and their activities on HTQM. Only vendors selected by a buyer see that particular buyer's RFQ. A vendor sees only the RFQ information that pertains to items the buyer has selected. Profile information about a buyer is only visible once a RFQ has been received by a vendor. Profile information about a vendor is only visible when a quote has been received by the buyer. When a quote has been awarded, no information is shared with either the buyer or the vendor.

4. Who is collecting the information?
HTQM collects the information.

5. What choices are available regarding collection, use, and distribution of the information?
When you register to use the HTQM and indicate your acceptance of the terms and conditions of the HTQM Membership Agreement, you are agreeing to the collection, use, and distribution of information gathered by the HTQM while you are logged onto the site and using its services. Failure to provide the registration information will prevent you from becoming a member of HTQM. You may choose to opt out of delivery (via e-mail, fax, or postal service) of informational notifications that pertain to sending and receiving RFQ's and Quotes. You may also choose to opt out of any other type of information delivery service provided by HTQM.

6. What security procedures are used to protect the loss, misuse, or alteration of the information?
Your HTQM registration information and any documents you have created are password-protected so that only you and HTQM have access to that information. You can access this information using your member ID and password. We recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone. HTQM will never ask you for your password in an unsolicited phone call or e-mail. Remember to sign out of your HTQM account and clear your browser window when you finish your work to ensure that others cannot access your information. For your protection, HTQM will automatically log you out of the system if the current work session lays dormant for more twenty (20) minutes.

In addition to password security, HTQM employs SSL 128 bit encryption and installs firewalls where appropriate. We strive to protect you and your information. However, no system can be guaranteed. We cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information that you transmit to us, and, therefore, you do so at your own risk.

As stated above, you can access and correct information you have entered (such as registration information) via our Web site.
